Project description

For the municipal office in Dubí, we completed bespoke interior elements for the newly renovated ceremonial hall. This is a space that needs to feel representative, dignified and welcoming at the same time. It is a place where some of life’s most important moments take place, so the aim was to create an interior that does more than simply look beautiful. It needed to have atmosphere, calmness and natural elegance. The design was created by interior designer Blanka Běhounková, with whom we have been working for many years on both private and public projects. Our role was to turn her concept into reality, from technical detailing through the production of bespoke furniture and wall cladding to precise installation on site.

The main feature of the entire project is the wave-shaped slatted wall cladding with integrated LED lighting, which gives the ceremonial hall a distinctive yet subtle character. From a technical point of view, this was one of the most demanding parts of the project. The cladding is mounted on a three-level supporting structure, which made it possible to solve the wave shape, depth of construction and hidden lighting installation with great precision. Special gel LED strips are installed along the entire length of the waves, creating an even and soft lighting effect. The result is a detail that immediately attracts attention without feeling intrusive. On the contrary, it softens the space, adds visual depth and creates a ceremonial atmosphere.

The scope of work included much more than the dominant wall cladding itself. For the interior, we also produced atypical wall cladding, bespoke counters, coat rack walls, freestanding furniture, large-format mirrors, floor mouldings and other elements designed specifically for this space. Another major challenge was the cladding of structurally demanding curved walls, where accurate measuring, technical preparation and careful installation were essential. In projects like this, every detail matters, from material transitions and lighting to joints, edges and the overall harmony with the interior design concept.

For this project, we used high-quality EGGER materials, specifically the décors U732 ST9 Dust Grey, U727 ST9 Stone Grey and H3362 ST12 Light Baronia Oak. The combination of grey surfaces, light wood décor and black backing felt beneath the slatted wall cladding creates an elegant contrast that supports the interior without overpowering it. The wood décor brings warmth and a natural touch into the space, while the grey tones create a calm, modern and timeless impression. As a result, the interior gained a balanced look that suits the dignified character of the ceremonial hall.

This project clearly shows that bespoke furniture and atypical interior elements are not only suitable for family homes, apartments or kitchens. They also play an important role in public and representative spaces, where aesthetics, functionality, durability and a refined appearance must work together. When a strong design concept is combined with quality materials, precise production and professional installation, the result is an interior with its own identity and long-term value. If you are planning a bespoke interior for your home, office, showroom, hotel, medical practice or public space, we will be happy to help you create a solution that is thoughtful, functional and refined down to the last detail.
